Demon Slayer has become a cultural phenomenon spanning multiple countries worldwide!
It is one of the best shounen out there, and as season 2 has just ended; so we thought you might be craving something similar to demon slayer. Still, the story and characters are worthwhile. The animation is exquisite, very different from what we see in traditional anime.
We would’ve ranked it higher, but the story in the first season wasn’t on par with some other anime in this list, so the 5th spot is the one that it gets!
Noragami
Next up, we have a short anime, Noragami, which wasn't airing for a long time, unlike many anime on this list. This is what makes the anime a gem. Its plot was very different from what I’ve expected from the shounen anime genre. It deals with some real striking moral conundrums, which only add depth to the story.
Though the protagonist follows the same goofy archetype that many shounen have, the cast of side characters and zany new powers keep you entertained.
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
This one’s a classic; anyone who has been watching anime for a while will know the stature Fullmetal Alchemist holds. The story of the two brothers will melt your heart. The world the story takes place in is very fantasy-like, which wasn't very common when the anime initially aired. Plus, it is the best one I’ve seen in a shounen!
Bleach
If sword welding badass anime characters is what you crave, then look no further than Bleach. It is one of the best shounen to ever air, and I will even go as far as to say that Demon Slayer takes a lot of inspiration from the show. Now that statement alone should convince you to watch this masterpiece!
Samurai Champloo
And the best anime that you can watch if you like Demon Slayer is Samurai Champloo. The show is so good I can’t even think of an adjective to describe how good it is. The animation, the story, the cast, the music, everything is on point. Now I may hold A certain bias as I’m a stan for this show, but that just goes to show how good it is!
