FromSoftware is probably the most beloved gaming studio on the planet right now. Their brand-new DLC for Elden Ring just dropped, and it's been a rollercoaster ride. The DLC is basically a brand-new game, on par with many AAA titles we see in the market—nay, better than those. But there's one game that fans love even more: Bloodborne. This game has been dubbed the favorite Soulsborne game of all time by the majority of the gaming community. However, there's a big problem with the game—it's locked onto the PS4!
You see, Sony is the publisher of the game, while FromSoftware are the developers. Sony funded the game, so the IP belongs to them, and it's up to them to decide what to do with it. So far, they haven't shown any signs of bringing it to the PC platform, a request many ravenous Bloodborne fans have been making to Sony online every day.
Recently, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the creator of most of the Soulsborne games, mentioned in an interview that he isn't opposed to the idea of a Bloodborne PC port and that the devs at FromSoftware are very keen on making that happen. But then again, he isn't in a position to make or announce such decisions. Even saying this much has caused quite a stir in the community, and maybe Sony might take notice and release the port.
Bloodborne's creator has no issues with the game getting a PC port, so why does Sony? The community is eager, the developers are willing, and the demand is high. It seems like the perfect opportunity for Sony to give fans what they’ve been asking for. C’mon, Sony, bring Bloodborne to PC!
