Soulsborne games have become all the rage in 2024, thanks to FromSoftware's magnum opus, Elden Ring, which came out 2 years ago. But the recent hype has been caused by the DLC the game just received a few weeks ago, which is in itself a brand-new full-blown game. Many players are already done with the DLC and are doing a second playthrough, while some are just bored and want something more. That's the thing about these Soulsborne games—they always leave you craving for more. Well, your craving will be satisfied as you've landed on the right webpage on the internet.
In today's blog post, we'll shed light on the 5 best Soulsborne games coming out in 2024. And you know what, it's July, so some of these games are already out, and you can start playing right away.
**5: The First Berserker Khazan**
The game's gameplay footage was showcased at The Game Awards, and ever since then, there has been considerable hype surrounding it. It's basically a hardcore RPG—they aren't marketing it as Souls-like, but it very much is. There are boss fights, new weapons to master, and the RPG elements are there as well. Plus, it looks super cool—the gorgeous style is something very different from the Soulsborne games we often get, so it will be like a breath of fresh air for many.
**4: Rise of the Ronin**
As the name suggests, the game lets you play as a Ronin in 19th-century Japan, which is a very cool time period. As someone who just came back from watching *Shogun* (great show, 100% recommended), this game seems like the perfect fit. Although not entirely Souls-like, there are few elements that many Souls players will enjoy, especially if you liked Sekiro. The only downside to the game is that it's a PS5 exclusive, so the rest of the player base will just have to make do with gameplay footage, I guess.
**3: Phantom Blade Zero**
Now, this is a game that, if it lives up to its promises, will probably become an instant classic. Phantom Blade Zero is being developed by a Chinese studio, and it looks sick. The art style, the combat—everything looks insane. I don't think I've seen combat better than what they showed off in their trailer, even better than Elden Ring!
**2: Stellar Blade**
This game comes straight out of South Korea, and that shows in the art style. You play as this female character called Eve, whose mission is to rid the earth of aliens called Natives. So right off the bat, a very good setting for a Souls-like—boss fights, NPCs, and RPG elements are all there. But then again, most Souls-like players aren't into art styles that look like this. It's a subjective thing, but the gameplay of Stellar Blade looks stellar, to say the least.
**1: Black Myth Wukong**
Now, this is a game that I'm personally hyped for ever since I watched the trailer for it back in 2018. The game is basically a Souls-like, but with a lot of unique new elements added on top. The first standout feature being the weapon—you only get one, just like Sekiro, and you have to improve your skills along the way, which sounds cool! The boss battles and the combat in the gameplay footage looked too good to be true, but the truth is, many have already tested this game, and it holds up. So, we're at this point just waiting for the release because when it does release, it has the potential to break the gaming community.
So there you have it, 5 Soulsborne games for 2024. We hope you are excited for the titles yet to come and get into the titles that are already out!
