There are over 900 Pokemon at this point, and each and every one of them has some lore behind them. This lore explains their looks, traits, and, most importantly, their origins. As you know, Pokemon doesn't always take inspiration from animals; it also has Pokemon that look very weird, so coming up with the lore of those is pretty tough.

There have been multiple Pokemon in the franchise that literally have scary descriptions, and today, we’ll be taking a look at the three best ones that we found!

Hypno

Hypno looks creepy, to begin with, and it even carries a coin to hypnotize other Pokemon. Hypno is known to cast illusions to catch tier prey. Now hear this Hypno, on multiple occasions, has seen to take children away with them; they literally kidnap the children after hypnotizing them!

If that wasn't scary enough, Hypno’s often are found in the parts of cities away from human settlements, so abandoned cities and roads!

Drifloon

Drifloon is literally created from dead souls! The more souls it has, the bigger it gets. Drifloon looks like a balloon to attract wandering children, which it takes away! Yes, yet another Pokemon that kidnaps children. Judging by how drifloons are created, the Pokemon might literally be made up of children’s souls, children who it took up and just left to fall!

Hisuian Zoroark

Hisuian Zoroark was shunned by society to cold mountain, where it died. Its souls resurrected it into a ghost-type Pokemon that is very angry at humans; it has potent abilities which are field by its resentment towards humans. Zoroarks in Hisui can literally cast an illusion on humans that will make them go insane for the rest of their lives; the illusions are so horrific that many even feel physical pain!
